Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 8, 2026
1. Overview
BA QR - Scanner & Generator is built to help users scan QR codes and barcodes, generate QR codes, save useful results, view history, open links, and personalize the app experience. This Privacy Policy explains what the app may access, what it stores, and how users remain in control of their information.
The app is designed as a utility app. It does not require users to create an account to use the core QR scanning and QR generation features.
2. Information the App Does Not Ask For
BA QR - Scanner & Generator does not ask users to sign in, create a profile, submit a password, or provide personal identity information for normal use. The app does not need a user account to scan, generate, copy, save, or open QR code content.
3. Camera Permission
The app may request camera permission so the live scanner can detect QR codes and barcodes. Camera access is used for scanning through the device camera preview.
Camera permission is controlled by the user’s device settings. If camera permission is denied, live scanning may not work, but other parts of the app may still be available.
4. QR Codes and Barcodes You Scan
When a user scans a QR code or barcode, the app reads the code value and may show actions such as copy, open, save, or add to history. A scanned code can contain many types of information, including website links, text, contact details, Wi-Fi details, email links, social profile links, app links, or other data created by third parties.
Users should check scanned content before opening links, sharing results, or relying on the information inside a code.
5. QR Codes You Generate
The app lets users generate QR codes for content such as text, websites, Wi-Fi details, email, contacts, cards/vCards, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, Spotify, Facebook, and Viber. The information entered by the user is converted into QR code content inside the app.
Users are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and safety of the content they enter, generate, copy, save, or share.
6. Saved Scans, Favorites, and History
The app may store saved scans, favorite scans, scan history, browser history, generated QR-related content, and timestamps on the user’s device so the user can find results again quickly.
This stored information may include the exact text or link inside a QR code. For example, if a user saves a QR code containing a website URL, that URL may be saved in the app’s local storage.
Users can manage their saved scans, favorites, and history from inside the app where such options are available.
7. App Settings, Themes, and Haptics
The app may save settings such as selected theme, light or dark mode, batch scan preference, haptics on/off status, and haptic strength. These settings are used to keep the app experience consistent when the user opens the app again.
Haptics use the device’s vibration capability when enabled. Vibration behavior can vary depending on the device hardware and operating system.
8. Browser and External Links
The app includes a browser-style page or link-opening experience for scanned and generated links. When a user opens a link, the destination website or external service may collect information according to its own privacy policy, cookies, analytics, security systems, and terms.
BA QR - Scanner & Generator does not control third-party websites, apps, payment pages, downloads, social media platforms, or services opened from QR codes.
9. Internet Permission
The app may use internet access to open websites, scanned links, generated links, privacy policy pages, terms pages, rating pages, sharing actions, or other external destinations selected by the user.
Internet access is not required to generate a basic QR code from user-entered text, but it may be required when opening online links or web pages.
10. Third-Party Libraries and Services
The app may use third-party development libraries for camera preview, barcode scanning, QR generation, device compatibility, and Android app functionality. These tools help the app scan and generate codes reliably.
If future versions include advertising, analytics, crash reporting, cloud sync, subscriptions, or other online services, this policy should be updated to explain those services clearly.
11. Data Sharing
The app does not require account registration for normal use and is not designed to sell personal information. QR content may leave the app only when the user chooses an action such as opening a link, sharing content, copying content into another app, or using a third-party website or service.
12. Device Storage and Backup
Saved scans, favorites, history, and settings may remain on the device until the user deletes them, clears app data, uninstalls the app, or uses any available in-app delete option.
Depending on the user’s Android settings, device backup settings, or manufacturer features, app data may be included in device backup processes controlled by the operating system or the user’s Google/device account settings.
13. Children’s Privacy
The app is a general utility tool and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Users should avoid scanning, saving, generating, or sharing sensitive personal information unless they understand the result and purpose.
14. Security
Reasonable care should be taken when using any QR scanner because QR codes can lead to unsafe websites, fake login pages, payment scams, malware downloads, or misleading content. Users should verify links before opening them and should not enter sensitive details on unknown websites.
15. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the app adds, removes, or changes features. The “Last updated” date will be changed when the policy is revised.
